Oscar is a tiny, white, curly, extra-fluffy lap dog weighing about 15 pounds. Estimated to be around 3 years old, he may have Maltese and Chihuahua roots, though breed is not guaranteed. Oscar is a gentle, loyal boy who takes time to build trust, then bonds deeply with his person.
He is playful with small dogs and enjoys toys, treats, cuddling, soft beds, porch time, and peaceful mornings or evenings outside. Oscar is gentle with an elderly canine companion, takes corrections well, and shares food calmly with his foster siblings. He is timid and would thrive with a calm routine and a family that respects his boundaries. A home with a yard is preferred because he loves spending time outdoors.

Ongoing Health
Oscar's adoption fee includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, neuter, microchipping, and a health certificate for travel.
Training & Support
Oscar is house-trained, trusted to free-roam in the house, and sleeps in bed with his foster. His foster home and the rescue's trainers support socialization, behavior planning, crate training, potty training, and leash walking as needed.

Transportation
USDA-certified transport is available nationwide with drop-off locations across the listed states and Canada. A $87 transportation surcharge applies. Canadian adopters pick up in Bellingham, Washington; Buffalo, New York; or Brattleboro, Vermont. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
