Meet Rex — Your Big, Gray, Gentle Companion!
Rex is a four-year-old silver gray Pitty or Staffy mix with the softest face, the sweetest eyes, and one adorable white chest spot that looks like he is wearing a tiny tuxedo. He's an incredibly special boy with a heart as big as he is. Rex approaches life with an easy, joyful attitude that makes him such a pleasure to have around. He's a big soft house hippo who knows how to chill. Rex has a steady, easygoing nature that brings a sense of peace wherever he goes. He loves affection, especially when you squat down and invite him in, but he is also perfectly content entertaining himself with toys, sniffing around, or relaxing nearby. He has mastered the art of being close without being demanding and truly knows how to chill. He loves toys, especially Kongs and a good game of tug of war, and he often carries them around proudly as if showing them off. He is treat motivated, eager to please, and genuinely just a very good dog.
Ideal Home
Rex is an apartment-friendly dog. He lives with small children and is extremely gentle with them. He also does wonderfully with other dogs and currently lives with dogs of all shapes and sizes, including small dogs. His ideal dog companion would be medium to low energy and respectful, but he would also be perfectly happy as a solo dog.
Ongoing Health
All vetting is included in the adoption fee, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Rex is fully potty trained and crate trained. He enjoys his daily leash walks and walks nicely when you are moving.

Transportation
Rex is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
