Meet River!

This lively six-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix is a bundle of energy and devotion, always ready to turn an ordinary day into an adventure! River shines with affectionate spirit, happiest when she can curl up under the covers after a full day of fun. She particularly adores bonding closely with men.

Ideal Home

River thrives on activity and would love to join a family who enjoys running, hiking, swimming, or long walks. She needs a home where she can be the only pet, as she needs space away from other animals and has shown strong reactivity toward them, particularly cats and small dogs. A pet-free home is essential, and due to her limited experience with children and potential uneasiness with loud noises, a home with teenagers or adults would be the best fit.

Ongoing Health

River has occasional skin sensitivity that is well managed with vitamins, helping her stay comfortable and happy.

Training & Support

River has completed formal obedience training and knows commands like sit, lay down, wait, and kennel up, showing how eager she is to learn and connect. She is also house-trained and comfortable being left alone for short periods. She would benefit from a confident, experienced pet parent who understands energetic dogs and can continue providing structure, guidance, and clear boundaries. While she may feel uneasy around loud noises, she settles beautifully into a calm and cuddly companion with understanding and support.
