About Aspen Papo Goofy Cutie

Meet Aspen, the two-year-old Lab/Pit mix who embodies the spirit of "every day is the best day ever!" With his handsome black-and-white coat, soulful brown eyes, and a nose just begging for a boop, Aspen is a walking, tail-wagging ball of joy. He doesn't just greet you; he launches into a full-body wiggle, leaning in for all the pets and kisses he can get. Even though he's a big guy, he's completely convinced he's a lap dog, and who are we to argue? Aspen is the definition of happy-go-lucky, approaching life with endless enthusiasm, whether he's splashing in the water, playing with friends, or hitting the trails. If you're looking for a dog who's equal parts adventure buddy and snuggle expert, Aspen is your guy.

Ideal Home

Aspen would thrive in a home with an active family who enjoys adventures like hiking and camping. He adores other dogs and would do best with canine companions over 25-30 pounds who can handle his rough-and-tumble play style and set clear boundaries. He could also be the one and only if he receives ample exercise, enrichment, and quality time. Due to his enthusiastic greetings and size, we recommend a home with older children or teenagers. Aspen also needs a home without cats, as he sees them as potential playmates and doesn't quite grasp his own size.

Ongoing Health

Aspen is up-to-date on all his vetting, which includes DAPP vaccination with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. He has also been tested for heartworm.

Training & Support

Aspen is still learning to understand when another dog needs a break during play. He would benefit from a confident canine buddy who can help teach him clear boundaries. He is also working on polishing his manners with greetings.
