About Ivan the Iconic

Meet Ivan, the iconic, muscle-jock marshmallow with big ears and an even bigger heart! This one-and-a-half-year-old, 50-pound goofball is a pittie/staffy mix with a personality as sweet and squishy as his looks. Ivan is all wiggly enthusiasm, silly charm, and when he gets curious, his giant radar-dish ears turn him into the cutest little deer. He absolutely LOVES life – especially toys, fetch (though he might decide to keep the ball!), and playing in water. Ivan is a quick warm-up artist; while he may seem a bit aloof at first, once he bonds with you, he's a total cuddle bug who loves to snuggle. He's treat-motivated and eager to please, making training a rewarding experience.

Ideal Home

Ivan would thrive with a medium-energy female dog who enjoys playtime but can also set boundaries when needed. He's been described as a "party starter" with playful dogs, but he can be a bit much for more mellow or insecure dogs. Because he sees cats as fun sprinting targets, he needs a feline-free home. Ivan would be wonderful with older children who can handle his zoomies and would be a great addition to a large, active family. While he's gentle and loving, he could learn to give little ones more space with time and guidance. A yard to burn energy and an active adopter who enjoys training and play with clear boundaries and routine would be ideal.

Ivan is treat-motivated and eager to learn, making training fun and rewarding. He's still young and energetic, so clear boundaries and routine will help him thrive. He is learning to manage his excitement with other dogs and responds well to guidance from people and other dogs to take breaks.

The adoption fee is $1000, which includes all vetting, microchip, collar, health certificate, and transport costs.

Transportation

Ivan is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide through our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pickup options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
