Diva is a 1-year-old, spayed Lab mix weighing about 35 pounds. She's a playful, affectionate, and outgoing girl with a wagging tail and a heart full of love to give. Diva adores running, playing, and chasing with other dogs, especially those who can match her energetic spirit. She's just as happy exploring on her own as she is romping with a canine buddy. Her foster believes she would do well with children, especially those old enough to manage her enthusiasm and protect their snacks from her curious nose! Diva is crate trained and does well when crated for short periods. She's very food motivated and eager to learn, but should be fed separately to prevent her from sneaking extra treats. With toys, she shares well and enjoys playing without issue. Diva greets strangers with friendly, tail-wagging enthusiasm and loves toys and cuddles. When corrected, she becomes vocal, howling as if holding a conversation, which is described as charming and funny.
Ideal Home
Diva would thrive in a home with another dog who shares her zest for playtime. She would do best with regular walks, plenty of playtime, and the chance to sleep close to her people. An ideal home would have someone home most of the time to give her the structure, love, and activity she craves.

Training & Support
Diva walks politely on leash without pulling. She mostly ignores cats but will sneak a bite of their food if given the chance. She is food motivated and eager to learn. Diva is still building comfort with car rides, so longer adventures will require patience and time.

- Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
- We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. If you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply.
- If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please ensure you have spoken with them and they are on board.
Transporation
Diva is being fostered in Houston, TX, and can transport out of state once matched with an approved adopter through rescue-arranged transport.
