Rufus

Rufus is an approximately 1.8-year-old mixed-breed dog with a heart full of sweetness. He was rescued from a Texas kill shelter just in time and is now looking for his forever home. Rufus is a blend of breeds, possibly including Lab and Cattle Dog, with soulful eyes and a gentle spirit. He is social, kind, and fantastic with other dogs of all sizes. Rufus has also shown no aggression towards farm animals and enjoys greeting pigs through the fence. He walks beautifully on a leash and is eager to please. Rufus loves to give kisses and lean into his people for affection.

Rufus would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of love and attention.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is heartworm positive but has already begun slow-kill treatment.

Training & Support

Rufus is wonderful on leash and eager to please.
