About Smiley
Meet Smiley! This sweet 2.5-year-old, 60-pound Great Pyrenees mix has a heart full of love and a spirit of resilience. Smiley spent the first two years of her life surviving on the streets with her five siblings. When their safety was threatened, we were able to bring the whole family into rescue. Shortly after arriving, we discovered Smiley was pregnant, and she lovingly raised her puppies until they were all adopted into wonderful homes. Now, it's finally Smiley's turn to find her own happily ever after!
Smiley is truly one of the gentlest souls you'll ever encounter. She adores belly rubs, a good stuffed toy, tasty treats, and of course, long, cozy naps on the couch after enjoying some time outdoors. She has a perfect medium energy level, happy to relax with her favorite people or explore the world around her. Due to her past experiences, Smiley can be a bit timid and requires a little time to build trust, especially with men. She's never aggressive; if she's feeling nervous, she'll simply choose to step away. But once she feels safe and secure, her incredibly affectionate personality truly shines, and she forms deep, devoted bonds with her loved ones.
Smiley is a wonderful companion who is super sweet and affectionate, loves belly rubs, has a medium energy level, enjoys being outdoors, is great with dogs of all sizes, adores stuffed toys and treats, is potty trained, leash trained, and non-destructive in the home. She also loves cozy couch naps! Smiley has done well with children who understand the importance of giving her space and letting her warm up at her own pace.
Smiley won't be the dog who rushes to greet strangers, but she is the dog who quietly observes, slowly builds trust, and then loves you with her entire heart. The family who opens their home and hearts to her will be rewarded with one of the most loyal and loving companions imaginable.
Ideal Home
Smiley would do well in a home with children who understand how to approach her gently and allow her to warm up to them. She has not been cat tested.
Ongoing Health
No ongoing health issues mentioned.
Training & Support
Smiley is potty trained and leash trained and is non-destructive in the home. She may need time and patience to build trust, especially with men, but she is not aggressive and will simply walk away if she feels nervous.
