DOTTIE

Dottie is a truly wonderful, medium-sized mixed breed who is spayed and ready to find her forever home. She's incredibly quiet, sweet, and easy-going, making her a delight to have around. Dottie is fully house-trained and crate-trained, so she'll settle right into your routine. She’s also a fantastic watch dog, once alerting her family to an unwelcome visitor in no uncertain terms! Dottie was surrendered because her beloved owner had to move to assisted living and could not take her along. A subsequent adoption plan also fell through due to unforeseen circumstances.

Ideal Home

Dottie is good with children and would likely do best in a home where she can be the only dog, as she can be territorial. We are unsure about her interactions with cats.

Ongoing Health

Dottie previously tested positive for heartworms but has successfully completed her treatment and is now heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Dottie is already house-trained and crate-trained, which are significant assets. She is a natural watch dog, so continued positive reinforcement training will help her channel this trait appropriately.
