Tahoe Trailblazer is a stunning, athletic Shepherd mix who loves being part of the action. At about 1.5 years old and 57 pounds, he is affectionate, social, people-loving, playful, and eager to learn. He would make a wonderful hiking buddy, training partner, and loyal sidekick who is equally happy relaxing on the couch afterward.
Ideal Home
Tahoe is friendly and confident with men, women, strangers, familiar people, and children. He has lived successfully with a variety of dogs and has good basic leash-meeting manners. He would likely do best with medium-to-large dogs, especially confident females or dogs who enjoy playful energy. Any resident dog should weigh more than about 25 pounds.
Tahoe should live in a cat-free home because he has shown enough interest in cats that he would chase them. He enjoys activity, enrichment, and engagement, but he also knows how to relax.
Ongoing Health
Tahoe's $1,200 adoption fee includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, rabies vaccination, deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, spay/neuter, microchipping with free lifetime registration, a travel health certificate, and transport. A $87 transportation surcharge applies.
Training & Support
Tahoe is house trained and crate trained; he walks into his kennel easily. He is intelligent, eager to please, responsive to guidance, and recovers quickly after redirection or overstimulation. He responds well to leash corrections, checks back in with his handlers, takes treats politely around other dogs, and is continuing to develop appropriate play skills and boundaries.
