Meet Stanley, a handsome chocolate Labrador Retriever and American Staffordshire Terrier mix! At approximately 5.5 years old, Stanley is mellow, easygoing, affectionate, and loyal. He is a gentle slow burn who prefers taking things gradually when meeting new people and dogs, but he is learning that the world is full of kind friends.
Stanley enjoys exploring with his foster family, including road trips and beach days. He loves sniffing the salty air, feeling sand beneath his paws, sunbathing, and going on leisurely sniffaris. He may be comfortable in apartment living thanks to his laid-back, quiet nature, though a yard would be a wonderful bonus.
Ideal Home
- Stanley has been introduced successfully to dogs and enjoys calmly exploring alongside them.
- He has met an 8-year-old child and patiently accepted treats and training.
- He is not recommended for a home with cats because he is very interested in them.
- A family who gives him time to warm up and enjoys adventures would be a great match.
Ongoing Health
Stanley’s adoption fee includes comprehensive veterinary care, vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, neutering, a microchip with lifetime registration, and a health certificate for travel.

Stanley knows how to sit, has good leash manners, and rides perfectly in the car, where he peacefully settles in the back and sleeps. He has been calm and patient at the vet and during training.
