Nina Butter Roll Baby

Meet Nina, affectionately known as Miss Buttered Roll—a sweet, squishy, caramel-and-white girl estimated to be around 2 years old. Nina is affectionate, funny, gentle, and devoted to her people. She loves being near her humans, follows them from room to room, checks in on them, and then settles politely nearby.

Nina currently lives happily with multiple dogs and enjoys playful canine companionship. She may supervise rowdy play, so thoughtful introductions and a calmer dog companion may be the best fit. She can bark or pull when she sees unfamiliar dogs on leash and would do best in a home environment rather than an apartment with frequent close encounters. She could also be happy as an only dog. Her cat test was inconclusive: she was curious but polite and chose to walk away. Additional cat testing can be arranged. Nina has not yet had formal kid testing, though her affectionate and gentle personality suggests she may be a wonderful family dog; kid testing can be arranged for interested adopters.

Ongoing Health

Nina's adoption fee includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, rabies vaccination, deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, spay/neuter, a microchip with lifetime registration, and a health certificate for travel.

Training & Support

Nina is house-trained and has lovely manners. She is social and affectionate, but can become excited around unfamiliar dogs on leash. The rescue provides behavioral assessments and individualized support, including crate training, potty training, and leash-walking preparation as needed.

• Adoption fee: $1,000.

Transportation

USDA-certified rescue transport is available nationwide with drop-off locations in participating states and Canada. Transport is included in the adoption fee, with an $87 transportation surcharge. Texas adopters must pick up in the Houston area, and Canadian adopters pick up in Bellingham, Washington; Buffalo, New York; or Brattleboro, Vermont.
