Ziggy

Meet Ziggy, a handsome 2-year-old Lab mix who weighs about 50 pounds and is bursting with a fun-loving personality! He's a super sweet and outgoing boy who adores cuddling with his people and playing fetch with his favorite toys. Ziggy is an active dog with plenty of energy to spare, and he enjoys going on adventures. He plays well with other dogs, though his boisterous play style might need a little guidance. He's also crate and potty trained, and travels like a champ in the car.

Ideal Home

Ziggy would thrive in an active home with an energetic family who can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. A yard would be ideal for him to run and play. Because of his enthusiastic personality and loud bark, he'd do best with older, dog-savvy children. We don't have experience with cats, so a home without feline friends or one where introductions are handled with extreme care would be best. He also has a tendency to counter-surf, so he'll need supervision and training to curb this habit.

Ziggy is neutered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.

Training & Support

Ziggy is crate trained and potty trained for up to six hours. He is crate trained whenever he is home alone. He walks nicely on a leash. Ziggy barks when first meeting other dogs, so continued, consistent training will help him build good habits. He is fed separately, though he does not have issues with resource guarding or food aggression. He will need ongoing training and supervision to prevent counter-surfing.
