About Ollie
Ollie is a happy, social Black Mouth Cur mix puppy full of life and curiosity. At about 5-6 months old and weighing around 18 lbs, he's expected to grow to about 40 lbs. Ollie gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, men, women, and even roosters, making him an incredibly adaptable and well-rounded pup. He's playful, energetic, and joyful, loving to run, chase, and be part of the pack. Ollie is also very affectionate and loves giving kisses, always seeking human connection.
Ideal Home
Ollie would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of rescued street animals. Prior experience with dog behavior and training, or a commitment to hiring a trainer, is highly desired. He requires a family with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. He is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Ollie has undergone a comprehensive health protocol including: Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, Rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra (fleas, ticks, and heartworm). He also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Ollie is food-motivated and can be protective of his food, sometimes showing mild, passive defensive behavior if other dogs resist him. It is recommended to feed him separately and continue basic training to help him learn boundaries. As he is not house-trained, consistency and routine will be key to his success. He has the potential to become a well-balanced adult dog with proper leadership and guidance.
