Acorn is a happy, friendly Chihuahua-type mix puppy looking for a loving forever home. He came from another rescue and is learning to walk on a leash.
Ideal Home

- Adopters must be willing to drive to Mukwonago, Wisconsin, to meet and adopt him
- The rescue primarily adopts in Wisconsin and Illinois, while also considering applicants in Minnesota, Iowa, and Michigan
Ongoing Health
Acorn is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, started on heartworm preventative, and has received a general wormer. He will have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, and other identified medical needs will be addressed.
Training & Support
Acorn has not lived in a home yet and will need to learn housetraining. He is learning to walk on a leash. An optional eight-week age-appropriate obedience course is available in Mukwonago for $100 when registered within 90 days of adoption.
Application Details
- Complete the pre-adoption application through Wags to begin the process.
- Dogs are seen by appointment only after an application is approved.
- Acorn may be able to go home the same day or within a few days if medical care is still being completed.
- The rescue offers a 30-day trial period, with the adoption fee refundable minus $100 if the adoption is not a good match.
- Adopters must return Acorn to the rescue if they can no longer care for him.
Transportation
Adopters must drive to Mukwonago, Wisconsin, to meet and adopt Acorn. The rescue does not ship its pets.
