Duke

Meet Duke! He's a gorgeous young German Shepherd mix, about 4 months old and weighing around 20 pounds. Duke is a little underweight but will be thriving with good food, love, and stability. Despite experiencing more heartbreak than any puppy should, Duke remains friendly, playful, curious, affectionate, and eager to learn. He's ready for a family committed to helping him grow into the amazing dog we know he'll become. Duke needs stability and a family ready for the time, patience, and lifelong commitment that comes with raising a puppy.

Ideal Home

Duke needs a stable, loving, and permanent home. Please only apply if you are truly ready for the commitment of raising a puppy. All decision-makers in the home should be in agreement. Adopters must be over the age of 21.

Ongoing Health

Duke is a bit underweight but is expected to thrive with proper care.

Training & Support

Duke will need continued training and plenty of exercise.

• All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes and will be transported north after adoption.
• Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. The first step is to complete an application.
• Volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for animals, so we will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review, the rescue in AL will contact you with any specific questions.

Transportation

Duke is located in Alabama and can be transported to the New England area. Transport is provided by a licensed transporter and is included in the adoption fee.
