If joy had ears, they'd look a lot like Brooklyn Cherry! This happy girl brings the kind of upbeat, feel-good energy that makes everyone around her smile without even trying. She's always in a good mood, always ready for fun, and those expressive ears just add to her already irresistible charm. Beyond her adorable looks, Brooklyn Cherry is incredibly smart, dog-friendly, and loves her toys. She strikes the perfect balance between being a playful adventure buddy and a snuggly companion. We believe she's a Shepherd mix, approximately 1-2 years old and weighing around 60 lbs. While we can't guarantee her exact breed or age, we see hints of Rhodesian Ridgeback, German Shepherd, and maybe even Great Dane in her! Regardless of her DNA, she's a perfect blend in our eyes.
Ideal Home
Brooklyn would do best in a home with a moderately playful dog who enjoys roughhousing and can match her energetic play style. If you don't have other dogs, that's okay too! She's happy as a solo dog and would love to be the center of your world. Her dream home includes a big backyard for her to stretch her legs and enjoy the sun. A semi-active family who enjoys hikes and wants a snuggly companion after adventures would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Brooklyn is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been tested for heartworms.
Training & Support
Brooklyn is fully potty and crate trained and is a quick learner. She already knows basic commands like "sit" and has a pretty decent recall. She is fairly easy to walk on a leash, though she may pull occasionally out of excitement, but she is easy to correct. She aims to please and loves to learn, knowing "sit," "shake," and "down." With the right training and guidance, she'd make a fantastic adventure buddy for walks, hikes, and even running.

Brooklyn is located at our Texas facility. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. This service ensures safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
