Meet Lisa, a life-loving goofball who got a second chance! Lisa's story almost ended far too soon, but thanks to a foster stepping up, she's now safe, loved, and ready for her real happily ever after. This girl is incredibly dog-friendly – she thrives with furry friends and loves the company of a confident canine buddy who can help show her the ropes. She may be a bit too excited and bouncy for very young children, but older kids are definitely her jam! Lisa LOVES toys and treats and is always ready for fun. But she also carries some fear from her past... anything long—like sticks or long objects—sends her into a nervous retreat, so we suspect she may have been mistreated before coming to us. We want the rest of her life to be full of love, patience, and kindness.

Ideal Home

Lisa would thrive in a home with a dog buddy and older kiddos. A family who can provide patience and kindness will be key to helping her continue to grow in confidence. Lisa needs a home where she won't be exposed to long objects like sticks, as these can make her nervous.

Ongoing Health

Lisa is a survivor and has overcome past trauma. She is a healthy dog, but we are working on building her confidence.

Training & Support

Lisa is 100% potty trained and crate trained (she may whine a bit at first but settles quickly). She walks on a leash but needs a strong handler because she's enthusiastic! We are helping her overcome fears related to long objects. Patience and a loving approach will be essential for her continued growth.

Lisa is currently in foster care in North Carolina and can be transported to approved adopters in the Northeast.
