Chook, also known as Chaz JuM, is a charming Bully Breed mix with a warm, red coat and a wonderfully quirky set of ears. At around 42 pounds, he's a compact bundle of joy with a big personality! Chook was rescued from a difficult situation and is now thriving with his foster parents, who happen to be professional dog trainers! He's already mastered commands like "sit," "down," and "place," and he's becoming a pro at responding to leash cues. While he can be a little shy at first, Chook transforms into a playful, energetic pup once he feels comfortable, enjoying zoomies in the backyard and expressing himself with happy vocalizations.
Ideal Home
Chook would do best in a home with older teenagers or adults. He has a very mouthy play style with his people, so he's not a good fit for homes with young children. He's very dog-social and would likely enjoy living with other canine companions, though he can sometimes be a bit pushy – he takes corrections well, though! We haven't tested him with cats.
Ongoing Health
Chook is currently healthy and has no known ongoing health concerns.
Training & Support
Chook comes with a great foundation in obedience training thanks to his foster parents. He's still learning and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and structure. His mouthy play style with humans is something that will need to be managed and redirected with consistent training.
