Daisy Mae is a beautiful 2-year-old, 35lb spayed female pittie mix whose journey from a difficult start to a loving companion is truly inspiring. Rescued at just six months old, weighing only 18 lbs as part of a cruelty case, it took months for her to learn that gentleness meant love. Today, Daisy Mae is a happy, affectionate, and playful girl, ready to find a family who will offer her the safety and devotion she so deserves. She adores kids of all ages, is great on leash, and is fully house-trained and crate-trained. Daisy Mae loves car rides, heavy chew toys, and being near her people. While she may be shy at first with strangers, she warms up quickly and thrives on attention once she feels secure.
Ideal Home
Daisy Mae would do wonderfully as an only pet but can also thrive with another dog, provided slow introductions are made. She would best be suited with a calm, confident canine companion. She enjoys walks, playtime, and exploring, but also knows how to relax. Daisy Mae eats and enjoys treats in her crate to help her feel safe, especially due to her past experience with food insecurity. She is happiest when given space for mealtime and a calm environment.
Ongoing Health
Daisy Mae is in great shape and continues to thrive. She does have slightly runny eyes, which are suspected to be due to environmental allergies that flare up during rainy seasons. This requires occasional gentle cleaning and awareness of seasonal changes, but no other treatment is needed.
Training & Support
Daisy Mae is a smart and outgoing girl. She benefits from slow introductions with other dogs and does best with balanced or confident dogs who can handle her enthusiastic play style. Due to her past, she needs time to trust and understand she is safe.
