Foxi is a vibrant and loving young Border Terrier mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing around 30.2 lbs. Despite a challenging start in life, where he was found abandoned and suffering from mange, Foxi has blossomed into a healthy, happy, and affectionate companion. He's energetic, playful, and once he feels secure, his joyful personality truly shines. Foxi enjoys human company and forms strong bonds with his people. He's sociable with other dogs, children, men, and women, making him a wonderful addition to an active family or individual looking to provide a loving forever home.
Ideal Home
Foxi would thrive in a home with a securely fenced backyard and an active family who enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of rescued animals. Previous experience with dog behavior and training, or a strong willingness to hire a trainer, is highly desired. A high level of tolerance and patience for a rescued puppy is essential.
Ongoing Health
Foxi has fully recovered from a past bout of mange. He is neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI and Rabies), microchipped, and has been dewormed. He tests negative for heartworm and is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention (Nexgard Spectra). A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
Foxi is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs often require an adjustment period to new environments and people. Patience, understanding, and establishing a consistent routine will be crucial in helping Foxi build trust and feel secure in his new home.
