About Liko

Liko's story is one of incredible resilience and a testament to the power of second chances. Nearly two years ago, she, her mother, and siblings faced unimaginable cruelty when someone attempted to set them on fire. Thankfully, they were rescued, and Liko survived. She learned to trust and, at one point, found a loving home. Now, through no fault of her own, Liko is back with us, searching for the forever family she truly deserves. Despite her difficult past, Liko is an incredible dog. She can be a little shy initially but quickly blossoms into a loyal and loving best friend once she feels safe. She enjoys spending time by your side, whether on adventures or relaxing at home. Liko is a smart and well-behaved dog who is crate and potty trained. She knows commands like "sit," "stay," "down," and "place," walks beautifully on a leash, and is always eager to learn. She thrives with structure, activity, and the security of people she trusts. Liko absolutely adores sunshine and can often be found napping in a sunny spot. She also loves walks, hikes, playing in a doggy pool, collecting sticks, and exploring the outdoors. Her goofy personality shines through in her "Mayhem" moments, where she entertains herself and her humans with mud puddles, acorn treasures, and dramatic rug flops. At the end of the day, her favorite place is right next to her people, often dozing off with a loud, happy snore.

Ideal Home

Liko would do best as the only dog in her home, as she loves hard and plays hard and truly thrives when she doesn't have to share her family. She is fine with cats and would likely do best with older children who can respect her space and enthusiasm.
