About ANNA

Hiya! My name is Anna, and I'm a super sweet, approximately 1-year-old Lab Retriever mix (though I'm a bit of a mystery mutt!). I weigh about 27 lbs and stand 59 cm tall. I'm a bonded pair with my sister, Elsa, and we absolutely must be adopted together! We were found as tiny pups on the side of the road and have been inseparable ever since. We've had a great life so far, going to work with our rescuer, going on road trips, and even joining her at restaurants, which has given us lots of socialization. We're very playful, especially with each other, and love to go to the dog park. I'm told I'm sociable with humans, especially children, and I love playing with other dogs. While I might take a little longer to warm up to new people and dogs than Elsa, once I get a few sniffs and treats, I'm your best friend! I have a high energy level and would love a family that enjoys adventuring outdoors as much as we do.

Ideal Home

We need a home where we can stay together, as Elsa and I are a bonded pair and truly rely on each other. We love to play and need plenty of mental and physical stimulation. A family that enjoys outdoor adventures would be amazing! We are unknown with cats and kids in a home setting, but have interacted with them positively while out and about. We are also not sure how we'll react to small prey animals, so our adopters should be prepared to train us through these behaviors if they arise.

Ongoing Health

I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will be tested for heartworm and other concerns before my journey north. Please note that it's common for rescue dogs to need dental work after adoption, and these costs are the adopter's responsibility.

Training & Support

I'm still working on leash skills and housetraining, but I'm doing pretty well! Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me succeed in my new home. We encourage adopters to do their own research and training beforehand.
