A little about them
Meet Lexi, a pocket-sized Lab/Staffy mix with a huge heart! At 5 months old and 22 pounds, Lexi is an affectionate, gentle puppy who loves cuddles, kisses, toys, yard time, and being near her favorite people. Her sleek black coat, white markings, floppy ears, and sweet personality make her an irresistible companion.
Lexi has medium energy: she enjoys playtime and then settles in happily for a cozy nap. She currently lives successfully with six dogs of various sizes and ages. New dogs can make her uncertain at first, especially on leash, but she settles beautifully with slow introductions and patient guidance. She is still building confidence with leash walking, and a fenced yard would be ideal during that process.
Lexi did wonderfully with a 10-year-old child, and introductions with younger children can be arranged. Her first cat test was inconclusive: she was initially calm, but chased when the cat ran. A home without cats, or with very dog-savvy cats and careful introductions, is recommended.

Lexi would thrive with a patient family who understands that she is a sensitive puppy learning that the world is safe. She enjoys people, affection, play, and companionship.
Ongoing Health
Lexi's $1,000 adoption fee includes DAPP vaccination with booster, Bordetella, rabies vaccination, deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, spay/neuter, microchipping with lifetime registration, and a health certificate for travel.
Training & Support
Lexi is house trained and is continuing to build confidence with leash walking. The rescue provides behavioral assessments, individualized behavior plans, and access to training and socialization support.

Texas adopters must pick up in the Houston area. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA; Buffalo, NY; or Brattleboro, VT. Transport includes 24/7 care, journey tracking, and photo updates.
