Trix

Trix is a gentle, smart 8-month-old Pitbull mix who is learning that the world can be a safe place. She was undersocialized early in life and is shy around people, but she has never shown reactivity. With patience, consistency, and compassion, Trix gradually builds trust and begins to show her playful, affectionate side.

Ideal Home

Trix does well with other dogs after proper acclimation and would likely thrive with a confident canine companion. A home without another dog should have a thoughtful plan for socialization and confidence building. Someone should be home more often than not while Trix continues growing and learning. She has been around children and may be shy at first. Her history with cats is unknown.

Ongoing Health

Trix is spayed and weighs 35 pounds. She is expected to be medium-sized when fully grown.

• Very quiet, observant, and quick to learn
• Has learned to use a doggy door

• The process begins with an application through Wags.
• Applicants may be contacted for a phone interview and video call with the foster home.
• A virtual home visit and personal and veterinary reference checks are required.
• Trix is currently in foster care in San Antonio, Texas.
• Her adoption donation is $475 and includes transport.

Transportation

Transport is included in the adoption donation, and Trix can travel once matched with an adopter. Transports run every few weeks, with travel arranged on the next available transport after approval.
