Meet Mama Kris! This sweet girl is ready for a home of her own after being a wonderful mama to her puppies. Mama Kris is a Boxer and Black Mouth Cur mix, weighing 44lbs, and her estimated birthday is April 22, 2025. She came to us from the county shelter where she and her newborn puppies were at risk due to her fear in that environment. Now that her puppies are grown, Kris has been spayed, tested negative for heartworm, and is up-to-date on vaccinations, making her officially ready for her happy ending.
Kris has the most soulful and sweet personality. She can be a bit shy when you first meet her and needs a little time to feel safe, but once she trusts you, she becomes incredibly loving and gentle. She walks nicely on leash and thrives with calm affection and reassurance. She also has an amazing recall! Kris is dog-friendly with proper introductions and is currently working on kennel training. While the kennel isn't her favorite just yet, she's showing great improvement every day. Kris would do best with a patient adopter who understands that dogs from stressful situations need time to decompress and settle in. She survived the shelter, she raised her babies, and now it's finally Kris's turn to be someone's cherished companion.
