Callie

Callie is a 6-year-old, 50 lb Lab/Catahoula mix with the kindest soul. Her world was turned upside down through no fault of her own. She was moved to a new state and climate, and what was meant to be temporary became permanent. Months passed without her family returning, and eventually, she was left behind. Callie was kept safe at a rescue, holding space for a family she believed would come back, but sadly, she was no longer wanted. She is incredibly loving, takes treats gently, adores belly rubs, and is a wonderful alert dog. She finds comfort in companionship and routine, and enjoys being around other dogs. Callie waits with hope and a heart full of love, longing to be chosen, cherished, and loved forever.

Ideal Home

Callie would thrive in a home where she can feel secure and loved. She is good with children under 8 and other dogs. Her interaction with children 8 and up is unknown.
