Alder is a shy but friendly 3-year-old Pyr who came to us from TX. He's a handsome gentleman who craves affection and attention, even if he's still learning how to express his excitement. He likely wasn't given much attention in his past, but we suspect he'll master the Pyr paw in no time!
Ideal Home
Alder would do well in a home with a calmer, playful dog. He is a bit protective of his food, so he'll need to be fed separately from other dogs. He doesn't seem to mind cats and would likely be fine in a home with children beyond the screeching years. An ideal home would have a fenced yard, but he does walk well on a leash and can adapt to a home without one as long as he gets his daily walks. He will not stay close to home if allowed to wander outdoors.
