Tina

My name is Tina, and I’m a 7-year-old, 14 lb bundle of love with a personality as big as my tiny frame! I came from a commercial breeding facility where I was initially very scared. Thankfully, my foster parents were patient and gave me the space I needed to feel safe. One day, I realized I was safe and ran right to my foster mom for affection. Now, my goofy, loving self shines! I’m potty trained and enjoy keeping myself entertained with my toys, especially the squeakers! I absolutely adore attention and will seek out pets every chance I get.

I’m what you might call "dog selective." While I live with many dogs in my foster home, I sometimes come on a bit too strong and don't always pick up on when another dog wants to be done playing. There's also one dog, Dixie, whom I don't trust and tell off whenever possible. My foster mom believes I'd be happiest as the only dog in my forever home. I do well with cats and don't bother them at all!

Ideal Home

I'd thrive in an adults-only home. I haven't met children, but I believe they might scare me, and I might revert to my shy ways. A securely fenced yard is a must for me to romp and play safely. My new family should also be mindful of open doors, as Shibas are known escape artists!

Ongoing Health

I am healthy, spayed, and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I am working on my leash walking skills and have been practicing in the yard. With a little more practice, I'm sure I'll be a pro in no time!
