Dinah is a gentle, affectionate Rottweiler/Shepherd mix who is just over a year old and weighs 63 pounds. She loves belly rubs, soft affection, treats, and forming quiet, meaningful bonds with her people. Though initially shy in new environments, she warms up with patience and calm reassurance, revealing a playful, sweet personality.
Ideal Home
Dinah would thrive in a calm home with adults or older children who understand shy dogs and can give her time to build trust. She is not recommended for homes with cats or very small dogs. She enjoys other dogs once comfortable and would do best with respectful, socially savvy medium-to-large dogs who will not overwhelm her.
Ongoing Health
Dinah’s adoption fee includes her DAPP vaccine and booster, Bordetella, rabies vaccine, deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, spay/neuter, microchipping with lifetime registration, and a health certificate for travel.
Training & Support
Dinah has a soft mouth when taking treats and shows gentle communication with other dogs. She has been assessed by trainers and benefits from individualized behavior support, crate training, potty training, leash-walking preparation, group training, and socialization opportunities. Adopters receive training and post-adoption support, including a private online training session and access to additional resources.

Transportation
Nationwide transport is available through a USDA-certified rescue transport system with 24/7 care, journey tracking, photo updates, and designated drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. A $87 transportation surcharge applies. Texas adopters must pick up in the Houston area. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA; Buffalo, NY; or Brattleboro, VT.
