Meet Camila and Regina, a bonded pair of adorable Shih Tzu girls looking for their loving forever home! Camila is 1 year old and weighs about 8.6 lbs, while her younger companion, Regina, is 10 months old and weighs around 8.2 lbs. These sweet, affectionate, and social pups love to greet people with excitement and enjoy cuddles and attention. They walk well on a leash, are crate-trained, and travel nicely in the car. They also get along well with other dogs and people, and are happy to welcome visitors. Camila and Regina were found wandering together in Saltillo, Mexico. After being safely rescued, they received a full veterinary evaluation and have been cared for at the shelter while awaiting their forever family. They've been through a lot and are now ready for a life filled with love, comfort, and security.
Ideal Home
A home with a fenced backyard, an active family that enjoys outdoor activities, and a genuine intention to rescue a dog by providing protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a professional trainer. They also require a high level of tolerance and patience.
Ongoing Health
Camila and Regina have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, microchipped, and tested for 4DX and heartworm. They are up-to-date on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventives (Nexgard Spectra). They have a clean bill of health and a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
These girls are not house-trained and will require patience and understanding as they adjust to a new environment. It's important to provide a safe and loving environment, establish a routine, and set clear boundaries to help them feel secure.

- If it's a match, we'll schedule a call or video chat and conduct a virtual home tour.
- We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
- If approved, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers veterinary care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and food.
Transportation
These out-of-town pets are fostered in Saltillo, Mexico and are ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip if adopted. We offer door-to-door delivery, with scheduled trips 3-4 times a year. Our contracted transport company will collect the pets, provide all necessary legal and health documents, and escort them across the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, pets will be delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. You will receive real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group, and the transport team will deliver your pet directly to your home. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD applies.
