Hello there! My name is JJ, and just like my namesake, I'm known for my gentle and sympathetic nature. While my breed mix is a bit of a mystery, I believe I'm the best kind of pup – a delightful blend of German Shepherd body, Pittie sweetness, and Vizsla face! I'm a goofy, gangly puppy with one main goal: to make you happy! I may have journeyed from New Mexico, but I've certainly embraced the snow here, enjoying walks and playtime with sticks. My foster mom has been instrumental in teaching me that outside is for more than just munching on twigs! I'm a good girl who's learning to communicate my needs, often by whining or nudging when it's time to go out. I don't mind my kennel, but I do prefer to be by your side. With a chew toy like a Nylabone or Kong, I can happily settle down for a nap while you're at work. It takes me a little while to warm up to new people, but once I do, I'm known for my sweet kisses! The big, hairy gentleman in my foster home initially made me a bit nervous, but he's shown me so much love, treats, and pets that I'm starting to adore him as much as the lady of the house. The confident resident pup has also been a great role model, showing me that humans are pretty wonderful. I dream of one day being able to show another pup the ropes! I believe with a little more confidence, I'll do great. I absolutely LOVE to play and romp outside, and my zoomies after potty breaks are apparently quite a sight, often eliciting giggles from my foster parents. When I'm feeling proud, I like to show it off with a high-stepping trot, much like a horse, and I can even make some horse-like sounds! I'm a red brindle beauty just waiting to find my forever family and live the bestest life. My photos truly don't do me justice, and I'd love the chance to meet you!
Ideal Home
A home where I can get the time and gentle guidance to build my confidence. I do get a little nervous around new, large male figures, but with time and positive reinforcement, I'm learning to trust and love them.
Ongoing Health
I'm a healthy pup ready for all the adventures your family has planned!
Training & Support
I'm still learning to communicate my needs, but I'm a quick learner and eager to please. I do well with chew toys to keep me occupied when left alone. Positive reinforcement and patience will go a long way with me.
