Gus is a handsome 6-year-old, 32-pound Boykin Spaniel who is ready for a fresh start. He was a loyal companion for six years before his previous owner's life took an unexpected turn, leading Gus to need a new home through no fault of his own. Gus is the perfect size for cuddling on the couch, enjoying car rides, and going on everyday adventures. He's a friendly, curious, and gentle dog who greets everyone with a smile and a wagging tail. Gus is also housetrained, leash-trained, and has excellent manners, making him ready to move right into his new home. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys their company. Calm and thoughtful introductions are best, but once he's comfortable, he's a social and happy guy. He would do best in a home with an adaptable female dog. Gus is not at this location; he is currently fostered near Houston, TX. He can be brought close to your home via rescue transport, which travels through areas like yours once a month. Transport details include scheduled air-conditioned/heated vans with a team of two drivers who provide real-time updates. You will be included in a group chat to track your dog's progress. While drivers do their best to stay on schedule, factors like traffic and weather can affect arrival times. Dogs on transport stop for breaks and are crated for safety.
