GLORIA-Gentle Giant

Gloria is a gentle giant looking for a loving home! This sweet English Mastiff is about 2 years old and weighs over 100 lbs. She was found wandering with her puppy, Angus, and brought to the Hico, TX Animal Shelter. Gloria is spayed and fully vetted, and ready to find her forever family. Life in a kennel is tough for a dog her size, and she's eager to trade it for a comfortable couch and a loving touch.

Ideal Home

Gloria would do best in a home without small or young children due to her size. She'll need a securely fenced yard and an adopter who is familiar with giant breeds or experienced with large dogs. Sturdy furniture is a must for this big girl!

Ongoing Health

Gloria is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations (including rabies and bordetella), and tested heartworm negative. She is microchipped and on preventatives for fleas, ticks, and heartworms.

Training & Support

Gloria is doggie door trained and likely house-trained. She walks well on a leash but can be a strong puller when excited. She chases cats, so a home without feline friends is best. She doesn't yet know her name, so her new family will have the joy of teaching her!
