Dexter

Meet Dexter, a resilient and joyful Irish Lurcher who has overcome a difficult past. Despite his facial scars from being used as a badger baiting dog, Dexter is a happy and loving boy who is eager to please and enjoys learning new commands like "sit," "down," and "stay." He's an excellent co-pilot, loves car rides, and exploring new places. Dexter also enjoys squeaky toys and rolling in the grass on sunny days, making him a wonderful companion.

Ideal Home

Dexter would thrive in a moderately active home with an experienced pet parent who can provide him with ample exercise and enrichment. He would do best as the only dog, as he doesn't always play well with others, and would likely not be happy in an apartment setting.

Ongoing Health

Dexter has some facial scars from his past but is otherwise healthy. He has been neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Dexter is eager to please and has already mastered "sit," "down," and "stay." He is still young and full of energy, so continued exercise and enrichment will be key to his happiness.
