Meet Boss!

Boss is a 6-year-old, 60-pound dog who has truly blossomed since being rescued from a life spent mostly in a garage cage. Like the famous gorilla Ivan, Boss's world was once very small and lonely. He didn't know the simple joys of grass, a comfy couch, or the gentle touch of human love. Thankfully, in 2023, Lucci's House opened his world, and with it, his kennel door.

At first, Boss was understandably nervous about his new surroundings – a house, a yard, and kind humans offering toys. But Boss is a brave soul! He has slowly discovered that the world outside his cage is a wonderful place. He now enjoys napping on the couch, playing with toys, and absolutely loves being outdoors, feeling the grass beneath his paws and listening to the sounds of nature and happy people. He’s even become a cuddler and is learning to express his feelings. Boss has made incredible progress, and now, he’s ready for his forever home and his happy ending.

Ideal Home

Boss is not comfortable around other dogs or children due to his past experiences. He needs a patient and understanding home where he can continue to learn and grow at his own pace.

Ongoing Health

Boss is a survivor and has no known health conditions.

Training & Support

Boss is still learning and can be nervous about new things. He will benefit from a patient adopter who can offer him a sense of safety and celebrate his successes, no matter how small.
