Jimmy is a 1.5-year-old, neutered male Pitbull Terrier mix who weighs about 45 pounds. He's a happy-go-lucky boy with two speeds: full throttle and full snuggle! Jimmy is energetic and loves making friends, both human and canine. He greets everyone with an enthusiastically wagging tail and is always ready for a game of tag, tug-of-war, or a good wrestling match. He's affectionate, playful, and smart, thriving on connection and companionship. Jimmy has a mischievous smirk that perfectly matches his fun-loving personality.
Ideal Home
Jimmy would thrive in an active home where he gets plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. While a yard is a bonus, engagement and companionship are most important. He would love a work-from-home human or an active family who will include him in daily life. Another playful dog could be a great match, especially if they enjoy high-energy play. Jimmy may be too enthusiastic for very young children without supervision. He has not been tested with cats, but may be too enthusiastic for them at this stage.
Ongoing Health
Jimmy is fully house-trained with only minor early adjustment issues. Crate training is a work in progress, but he's making great strides. He can be left alone for moderate periods (4-6 hours), especially with another dog. He does not exhibit resource guarding, though he thinks every toy is the best toy.
Training & Support
Jimmy is still polishing his leash manners and can pull when excited. He is very curious about the world around him. With consistency and some solo walks, he will continue to improve quickly as he is very food and praise-motivated and eager to learn.

Jimmy is currently in Houston, Texas. He can be transported to a city once an adopter is matched. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
