About Mylo
Mylo is a 4-year-old, 44-pound Australian Cattle Dog mix with a huge heart, playful personality, and unforgettable tongue. He is affectionate, curious, smart, and ready to bring plenty of laughter and companionship to his forever home.
Ideal Home
Mylo would thrive with a moderately active family that can provide daily walks, fetch, yard time, and lots of affection. He plays well with dogs of all sizes and reads their social cues, but he should live in a feline-free home because he has shown interest in chasing cats. He has done well with children, though older children ages 10 and up are recommended because of his jumping and enthusiasm.
Mylo is vocal when excited, making playful growls, grunts, and silly noises. He also prefers to eat separately from other dogs and may occasionally flinch at quick movements or unfamiliar objects. A patient home with routine, structure, and a flexible schedule would help him settle in successfully.
Ongoing Health
Mylo's tongue is naturally longer than his mouth and is usually visible. A veterinarian checked it and found no problem, though he may occasionally need extra hydration. He also has a slight protruding bone at the base of his rib cage, which causes no concern.
Training & Support
Mylo is fully house trained and has been trusted loose when unsupervised. He listens when called, responds well to redirection, and enjoys praise. He is still working on jumping, taking treats gently, and pulling on leash when excited. A no-pull harness or Gentle Leader may make walks easier. He has not been crate trained in his foster home.
