Ethel is a sweet and spunky approximately 5-year-old female bulldog mix with a heart full of love to give! Despite a past battle with heartworms, she's now negative and thriving, though she does require daily medication for congestive heart failure. Ethel is still quite active and absolutely adores meeting new people. She's a big personality in a small package and can get a little excited, so a home without very young children would be ideal. She gets along well with other dogs, but she does tend to be a bit of a bossy boots, so a more submissive canine companion would be her perfect match. Ethel's adoption fee has been generously sponsored to cover only transport costs, making it easier for her to find her forever family.

Ideal Home

Ethel would thrive in a calm and loving environment where she can relax and be doted on. She may not be the best fit for homes with very young children due to her occasional excitement. A home with a mellow, submissive dog would be a great fit for her bossy-but-lovable nature.

Ongoing Health

Ethel is managing congestive heart failure with daily medication. She was previously treated for heartworms and is now negative. Her last vet check indicated she was responding very well to her medications, and she has been downgraded from hospice to daily medication required.

Training & Support

Ethel is a social butterfly but can get easily excited. Gentle guidance and a patient approach will help her settle into her new home and continue to be the wonderful companion she is.
