El

El came to us abandoned on the streets of Dallas with a poorly healed fractured leg, multiple scars, and a litter of adorable puppies. She was scared, hungry, and exhausted but took wonderful care of her babies, who have all found their forever families. Now, it's El's turn for her own happily ever after! She's currently soaking up the security and love in her foster home and has blossomed into a gentle, playful girl who loves to run outside and sport her colorful fashion statements with pride.

Ideal Home

El would do best in a predictable household where she has time to adjust to changes. She absolutely needs to be in a family with another dog, as she thrives with canine companionship. She needs someone who will patiently let her continue to learn that humans can be trusted and that outstretched hands offer treats and tickles, not harm. El is dog and cat friendly.

Ongoing Health

El had a fractured leg that has healed. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and has been spayed. She is current on flea and heartworm prevention and has had a recent veterinary exam.

Training & Support

El is potty and crate trained and learns very quickly what is expected of her. While sudden movements and loud noises can still make her hesitant, she is responsive to reassurance. She walks well on a leash but may still need some encouragement around the sounds of fast cars.
