Skye is a 3-year-old, 56lb Shar Pei mix with a beautiful apricot and white coat. This sweet Texas pup has a heart as big as the Lone Star State, with warm, soulful eyes and a tail that never stops wagging! She is gentle, loyal, and full of affection, ready to trade kennel life for a forever home. Skye is protective of her environment and will bark at strangers, but once she trusts you, she is the most loving and gentle baby, often showing her affection with happy licks. She truly enjoys being outside and playing!

Ideal Home

Skye would thrive in a home with a yard, as she loves to play outdoors. She can live with other dogs, but would do best with a same-sized or larger canine companion who can keep up with her playful energy. Due to her protective nature and tendency to bark at new people and noises, Skye would not be a good fit for an apartment. She needs a family who will work with her to build trust and provide a safe, stable environment.

Ongoing Health

Skye is spayed and has no known health conditions.

Training & Support

Skye is house-trained and crate-trained. She can be a barker when she sees strangers or hears unusual noises. She is also a flight risk until she feels comfortable in her environment. Skye is not food aggressive but should be fed separately from other pets. She walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She is not destructive.
