Penny is a shy, timid 3-year-old boxer/lab mix weighing about 38 lbs. She is a gentle soul who thrives on reassurance and praise, loving it when you tell her what a "good girl" she is. Penny enjoys attention and needs a patient, confident person to help her build trust. She has a playful spirit and loves to run, so a securely fenced yard with a minimum 5 ft. fence is a must. Loud noises like thunder or fireworks can be quite stressful for Penny, causing her to run or hide.

Ideal Home

A quiet home environment is ideal for Penny. She would do best as the only pet, as she can be easily overwhelmed in groups and is too rough with cats and small animals. While she can play with a submissive male dog of her size or larger, she's not the best fit for homes with small animals.

Ongoing Health

Penny is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Penny is reliably house-trained and walks nicely on a leash. She also crates well during the workday and considers her crate her safe place. She is still working on building confidence and trust.
