Toby

Toby is a delightful 3.5-month-old male Terrier/Chihuahua mix, weighing around 14 pounds and expected to grow more. He was rescued from a hoarding situation and is now thriving in a foster home in Houston, Texas. Toby is a social butterfly who adores other dogs and has quickly become a favorite among his canine housemates, especially the resident senior dog he loves to nap with. He's also a joy to play with, always ready for an adventure whether it's chasing toys or romping in the yard. When playtime is over, Toby loves to snuggle and nap. He's doing well with potty training and crate training, showing great promise with continued consistency and patience. Toby has also shown he's wonderful with children, having lived with a 12-year-old, though his energetic and sometimes mischievous puppy nature means he'll benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training to learn good manners. Toby has not been tested with cats. Because he is still a young puppy, Toby will need a family that understands the commitment involved in raising a puppy, including routine, socialization, training, frequent potty breaks, and supervised play. He shouldn't be left alone for more than about 4 hours at a time. If you're ready for the fun, laughter, and love of raising a puppy, Toby is eager to become your loyal companion.

Training & Support

Toby is doing great with his potty training and is mostly potty trained, but he's still a baby and will need continued patience and consistency as he learns. He has also spent time in a crate and is continuing to build positive crate-training habits. Like any normal puppy he is energetic, and occasionally mischievous, so his new family should be prepared to continue teaching him appropriate puppy manners through positive reinforcement.

Transporation

Toby is currently located in Houston, Texas. Adoption donation is $575 which includes transport. Transports run every few weeks and he will be on the next available transport once approved.
