Everything is exciting, everyone is her friend, and life is simply too much fun not to enjoy. Whether she's happily trotting around with those adorable floppy ears swinging from side to side, tossing a tennis ball around all by herself, or wagging her whole body because you looked in her direction, Susie Q has the kind of joy that's impossible not to catch. Her foster says his favorite thing about her is simply how happy she is all the time, and honestly, we couldn't agree more. Susie Q is believed to be approximately 2 years old and weighs about 33 lbs. Her exact breed is a mystery, but our best guess is some combination of Dachshund, Basset Hound, and Schnauzer, giving her a long body, short legs, floppy ears, and a scruffy, smiling face. She's playful enough to keep life fun but also settles down beautifully for cuddles. Susie Q loves toys, especially balls, and is smart, knows how to sit, and is eager to please. She's dog-friendly and would love a playful canine buddy, and she also did well with a cat during her evaluation. She is fully potty trained and crate trained, sleeping quietly through the night.
Ideal Home
Susie Q would be happiest in a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs, play fetch, and get her zoomies out. She could also do well in an apartment with regular exercise. A semi-active family that enjoys taking their dog along for everyday adventures would be a wonderful fit for her.
