Maya

My name is Maya, and I'm a sweet 3-year-old girl who is struggling with shelter life. The noise and chaos here are overwhelming, causing me to pace, pant, drool, and bark. I've even lost weight due to anxiety, and it breaks my heart to think I'm losing pieces of myself each day I'm here.

But this isn't the real me! When I go on Doggy Day Outs, I relax immediately. Outside the kennel, I'm a completely different dog – I walk nicely on leash, enjoy affection, and show everyone my gentle, loving nature. I'm dog-social, good with kids 3+, and already housetrained. I can be a little timid at first, but once I feel comfortable, my soft personality truly shines.

Ideal Home

Maya needs a quiet, patient home where she can decompress. An ideal home would be with someone who works from home or is retired, able to give her time, space, and reassurance. She does need a cat-free home.

Ongoing Health

Maya is spayed, vaccinated, and housetrained. She has experienced weight loss and anxiety due to her current environment.

Training & Support

Maya is housetrained and walks nicely on a leash. She can be timid when first meeting new people but warms up with patience.
