Coffee is a charming 1-year-old male Labrador Creole mix, weighing around 30 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Coffee is a loving, intelligent, and playful dog who is sociable with humans of all ages, including children, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He enjoys playtime, walks, and cuddling. While he can be a little shy at first with new people, he quickly warms up and melts into your arms with affection. Coffee is described as affectionate, docile, playful, and loyal, bringing lots of joy and fun to his foster home. He is already crate and leash trained. Coffee was found with his six siblings in a field shortly after birth.
Ideal Home
We are looking for homeowners with a fenced backyard who are active and enjoy outdoor activities. Ideal families will have an open mind about the needs and behaviors of rescued animals, understanding they require protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, as is a high level of tolerance and patience. Coffee is NOT house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Coffee has received a comprehensive health protocol, including a Spay/Neuter Certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, a Rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and is microchipped. He has also had a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
Coffee is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this. His rescuers note that not all rescued pets are potty-trained due to the immense effort involved in their care. They emphasize that rescued pets are "perfectly imperfect" and require ongoing patience and education.

Transporation
Coffee is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is available for transport to the East Coast of the United States. Transport is available and the adopter will be responsible for a transport fee of $400.00, which is paid prior to departure. The transport service will deliver Coffee to the adopter's home address.
