Meet Kane, a gentle and loving 5-year-old companion with a big heart. He loves snuggling on the couch, following his people around, carrying stuffed toys, and chatting with his signature “woo-woo” sounds. Kane is friendly, affectionate, and content relaxing indoors, though he also enjoys chasing squirrels in the yard.
Ideal Home
Kane is friendly with everyone and has lived peacefully with two cats, done well with other dogs, and been gentle with children, including children ages 3–10. He is not possessive over food or toys, takes treats gently, and is not destructive. He will do best with an adopter who has flexibility with work or is not away for long hours while his separation anxiety is being addressed.
Ongoing Health
Kane is heartworm negative and reported to be in good overall health. His current family is working with their veterinarian to find the right medication to help manage his anxiety when left alone.
Training & Support
Kane is crate trained and willingly goes into his crate to sleep. He knows basic commands such as sit and usually comes when called. When left alone, he may vocalize and become anxious; patience and the right setup will help him feel secure.
