Leo Dan is a sweet Shepherd and retriever mix puppy looking for his forever home! He's estimated to be around 13 weeks old and currently weighs about 11 lbs. Leo Dan and his littermates have loved growing up together in Puerto Rico, but now they're ready to find their own families in the DC area. Leo Dan is a playful pup who loves to zoom around and play with toys, but he also enjoys plenty of snuggles. He's eager to explore his new neighborhood on walks and would love to make some new doggie friends. He's also excited about attending puppy obedience classes to show off how smart he is!
Ideal Home
Leo Dan is looking for a home where he'll have plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and receive snuggles. He's eager to make doggie friends, so a home with other friendly dogs would be wonderful. As a young puppy, he will need multiple potty breaks and exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with an 8-hour workday will need to make arrangements to meet his needs.
Ongoing Health
Leo Dan has received age-appropriate vaccines but may not be fully vaccinated. It is the adopter's responsibility to ensure he completes his vaccination series. Until fully vaccinated, he is at a higher risk for illness. Leo Dan has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, this must be completed no later than October 20, 2026, with no exceptions or extensions. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you wish for Wags to cover this cost at one of their partner vets.
Training & Support
Leo Dan will need to work on his house training and attend obedience school to grow into a well-socialized dog.
