Whitney is a beautiful 3-year-old, 45 lb shepherd mix with a heart of gold. She was found as a stray in a small rural town and was facing a grim fate, but thankfully, she was rescued and given a second chance at life. Whitney is a soft and gentle soul who can be a little cautious with new things, but she's always hopeful for the best. Her soulful, kind eyes truly reflect the caring nature that shines from within. She's a beauty inside and out and deserves a loving home where she can finally feel safe and cherished. Whitney is ready to blossom in a calm and patient environment, where she can learn to trust and let her sweet personality shine. This sensitive girl may take some time to warm up, especially with men, but once she trusts you, her loving personality will shine through.

Whitney would thrive in a calm and patient environment. She is dog-friendly with male dogs, but rough play makes her nervous.

Training & Support

Whitney walks well on leash and enjoys her walks greatly! She may need a little guidance with potty training as she transitions back into a home environment. Because she can be cautious, especially with men, patience and a gentle approach will be key to building her trust.

Whitney is located at Saving Grace Rescue LBK in Wilson, TX. She is also available for adoption throughout the PNW, Midwest, and Northeast through Project Freedom Ride. Transport is available.
