Navajo, a 6.5-year-old neutered male Pitbull mix weighing around 75 pounds, is a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing pup looking for his forever adventure buddy! He's the perfect blend of playful energy and relaxed companionship, happy to join you for a daily walk or simply curl up nearby for a cozy evening. Navajo enjoys playing with other dogs, especially in one-on-one or small group settings, and can be a bit of a social butterfly, sometimes needing a gentle reminder to calm down if he gets too excited. He's done well with dogs of all sizes, but tends to be most comfortable with those his own size or smaller, and proper introductions go a long way. He's progressing well with his doggy manners at daycare and is polite and non-reactive on leash, though he might pull a little when first setting out. Navajo is fully house-trained and crate-trained (though he prefers napping with the door open) and shows no signs of separation anxiety, happily snoozing loose in the house when you're away. He loves meeting new people and has been great with children, though interactions with very young ones haven't been extensively tested.
Ideal Home
Navajo would thrive in a stable, moderately active home that enjoys daily walks, occasional outings, and plenty of affection. He doesn't need an ultra-active lifestyle, just consistent exercise, love, and companionship. He could do well as an only dog or with a compatible canine friend. He would do best in a cat-free home due to a strong prey drive observed towards cats.
Ongoing Health
Navajo needed dental work upon arrival and had several damaged teeth removed, including his canines. His remaining teeth are healthy, and he still enjoys chewing his favorite bones.
Training & Support
Navajo is house-trained and crate-trained. He is polite and non-reactive on leash. He has shown no resource guarding with food, treats, toys, or people.
